MAFS and I’m A Celeb 2018 premiere date revealed

It feels like only yesterday that Jarrod Woodgate was walking into the ocean, seemingly never to return.

But of course Jarrod came back, and his second big reality TV performance may be closer than many had expected.

Both Married At First Sight and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! announced their premiere dates on Friday, and Bachelor In Paradise won’t be too far behind.

On Monday January 29, Channel Nine’s Married At First Sight will return for its fifth season, already expected to be its most controversial yet.

It will debut on the same night as season four of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

In seasons past, Married At First Sight has aired at 8.40pm, while I’m A Celeb has never aired later than 7.30pm.

This leaves an open time slot for Channel Ten, who may well be planning to put Bachelor In Paradise head-to-head with Married At First Sight.

Previously, Channel Ten has been hesitant to put The Bachelor series up against the strongest ratings rivals, but Sophie Monk changed that somewhat.

Her Bachelorette series was one of the highest-rated in years for the long-serving reality show, and its popularity has never been higher.

Rumours and Channel Ten’s programming history even indicate Jarrod Woodgate and Keira Maguire’s summer of love will premiere the week prior.

Typically, the network premieres its new shows on the same week, a few days apart.

Back in July, Matty J’s season of The Bachelor debuted on Wednesday 26 July, followed by Australian Survivor on Sunday 30 July.

If Bachelor in Paradise follows the same trend, fans should be circling Wednesday 24 January for the season premiere.

Or earlier! Channel Ten has previously premiered The Bachelor (it's biggest show), one week prior to it's second biggest (I'm A Celeb), meaning a January 24 release is possible for Bachelor in Paradise
