Stanley Johnson shows Jungle weight loss in baggy shorts

He’s dined on rice and beans in Oz for the last few weeks with his I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here camp-mates, who shed six stone collectively just 13 days in.

And Stanley Johnson showed the real extent of the weight loss controversy as he walked out of his hotel in Oz with son Max and a female companion in extremely baggy shorts, which appeared to be barely staying up on his reduced waistline.

The former MEP, 77, stepped out looking dramatically slimmer, with a loose-fitting blue checkered shirt displaying his gaunt arms for the family outing, although his eldest son, former London mayor Boris was away in Iran while the reunion took place.

The author kept it casual in tan walking shoes and tall black socks, while son Max donned flipflops, matching shorts and a baby blue shirt.

Missing from the picture was Stanley’s eldest son, Foreign Secretary Boris, who has yet to comment on his father’s participation on the hit ITV contest.

Moments after leaving the jungle and still feeling cut off from the world, the dad-of-six asked if his son was still Foreign Secretary, saying: ‘I’m absolutely looking forward to my emails, isn’t that pathetic?

‘I want to know if Boris is still Foreign Secretary for example… I’m sure he is doing a fantastic job.

The MP for Uxbridge has remained silent on his father’s participation on the hit ITV show.

There was a mini I’m a Celeb reunion as the father-son duo bumped into comedian Shappi Khorsandi, who was the first camp mate to be eliminated from the competition.

Stanley, who was fifth to leave the show, credited his appearance on I’m A Celebrity for acting as a ‘wonderful form of gastric surgery’, as he insisted one of his favourite things about his experience had been ‘losing weight’.

The I’m A Celebrity stars were forced to overhaul their luxury lifestyles, their eating habits and their home comforts when they entered the jungle on November 19.

And after just 13 days of adjusting to their temporary home on the ITV show, a source revealed the campmates had collectively lost more than six stone.

The campmates have also suffered from ‘dizzy spells’ as a result of the stars primarily living on ‘tiny’ food rations in the jungle.

Medic Bob revealed the ‘really hungry’ group have been given supplies of fizzy drinks to ensure they remain ‘healthy’ while surviving on a diet of mainly rice and beans.

He told The Mirror: ‘I can’t mention it medically, but there’s been a couple that have had a few dizzy spells and we’ve given them some electrolyte drinks and some glucose.

‘They’re very hungry, really hungry. They’re very hungry at the moment, they haven’t done quite so well at the trials lately.’
