We’ve been pretty devoted to French designer Christophe Lemaire’s collection for Uniqlo, Uniqlo U, since it launched in 2016. We track and consume every drop like it’s Supreme, only instead of flipping it on the secondary market we wear the hell out of everything. We know we’re not alone in this. One visit to #uniqlou on Instagram, a.k.a. the second-best style blog on the Internet, and it’s clear Lemaire has made a lot of stylish fans over the last two years.
Tomorrow (9/14) the first half of Lemaire’s Fall 2018 collection drops on Uniqlo.com and in the NY 5th Avenue flagship and, like all the collections that came before it, it has the answers you’re looking for in matters of style. If you’re notorious for only buying things in gray, navy, and black, it will infuse your closet with on-trend shades of mustard and cherry and teal. If you’re still wearing skinny-fit jeans 24/7, it will hold your hand as you dive into the world of wide (but tapered!) legs. If you want to try that whole open-collar shirt, mid-rise trouser look you see every cool guy wearing, there are the ingredients for that too. And if you just need a damn good gray sweatshirt, yes, you will find it here. Also, the coats. The coats are good.
We will discuss the coats with you in approximately four weeks, when the second, outerwear-heavy half of this collection drops (on 10/12). Like we said, we stalk this stuff like streetwear-crazed teenagers. Until then, please enjoy your new fall wardrobe:
